Okay, so, I'm on the brink of either some serious biologic drugs OR surgery.

So, being on the brink of those two things, is it still possible to have a good day and then a very bad day? Today, the pain is out of control..I have 90 minutes before I can take pain meds, luckily, the Levsin has calmed things down for the moment.. But, yesterday was pretty decent.

When I was first dx, I was sick everyday..now I'm still in a flare, but somedays I'm ok, then some days are horrible...

I guess I'm contemplating how I could be so ready for surgery when I still have a few good days?

Me too Kaycie, it's a tough decision. Have you spoken to a surgeon yet?

Your intestines ALWAYS behave when you contemplate surgery!!  They know exactly what you are thinking and throw you a bone to get you all confused...they're mean mad

Ohio - Uhm yeah, I'm gathering that as the ONLY conclusion here! This evening, my husband wanted to take me for a V-Day dinner because he's leaving town..and I ate carefully, but surprisingly, I'm holding this food in well. Now, granted, I did take 2 Levsin and 9 pain pills today..so, in all consideration, it is NOT good..and I'm still about a 3 pain level and I have 4 more hours before I could even consider pain meds...

This DD is SO confusing!

AMEN! Again, it's the 4 biologics for surgery. And as much as surgery scares me to pieces, I wonder if it would not help and let my bowel completely rest. I have so much to discuss with the docs.

Does anyone else what to wait forever to see doctors? I see the GI on Tuesday (about a 2 week wait) and the surgeon 2 weeks after that. In my surgeon's favor, he was going to squeeze me in the Tuesday before, but my parents are out of town, and my mom, especially since she is my boss and needs to understand what my working capabilities will be, really wanted to go to the appointment with me.

I'm no feeling constipated, though I'm not. My BMs have turned to skinny small amounts... meaning my rectum is obviously swelling...
