I believe I am getting my second sinus infection now since I first started Remicade, back in November.  I honestly feel like the Remicade is helping a lot with my Crohn's.  I am wondering, though, if you keep getting repeat infections, will they consider taking you off of it?
Thanks in advance for your replies!

My primary dr. was more concerned about it than my gi...I started taking a zrytec every night before bed, and my sinus issues have been basically nonexistant. My gi was the one who recommended this.

I am on something similar in the UK called Imfliximab. I have now had 4 infusions and the first 3 times I had 4 days of bad sinus pain, then I would have have 2 or 3 bad nosebleeds.  My consultant said this is ok so long as I can cope with it. The last time I had an infusion I took sudafed on the day and for the following 3 days and hurrah didnt get any sinus pain

I've been on Humira for over a year, and have had multiple sinus infections. I started using a sinus rinse, which has helped keep the infections away the most. My GI doesn't think of taking me off the Humira because of the sinus problems though, because it's far more of a risk for the Crohn's to come back. It's much easier to fix a sinus infection than CD.

Good luck!

I don't want to say that I have sinus INFECTIONS, but I am always plugged up with sinus headaches. It all began when I started Remicade, almost 3 years ago. I can't stand it.....
