Doctors think that crohn's has developed in my eye. I have little white ulcers on the inside lower lid, along
with other inflammation in the eye. I have to see the opthomologist on Friday, plus an MRI of my head.
Mmmm this is really food for my thoughts.
Anyone else heard of this?

That would be an extraintestinal manifestation of CD, not actual CD in your eye, CD can affect the entire GI tract only, but there are extraintestinal manifestations from having crohn's that can affect our eyes, joints, bones and skin.

Before my diagnosis, I started out with Erethum Nodosum (red painful knots on my legs) and then inflammation in my eyes, both of them! One right after the other, at first my eyes felt kinda sore and my vision started getting blurry. My eye dr gave a name for it but I can't remember what it is called, he gave me steriod drops and something to keep my eyes dialated! This lasted 2 months!! It does take a while to clear up, shortly after the eye problem started I started having the diareaha and the pains. My eye dr is the one who sent me to my pcp for a complete check up and then was referred to my GI.

I had some eye problems before diagnosis that makes me wonder if CD was causing it? I also had some special drops and my eyes would get so sore and inflamed. It was terrible!

Gail I have got to have the MRI, because of the headaches I'm having, although I think they are associated with the
eye problem.. LOL

Hi Vicky Yes it could be from your eye problem. How are things going with your Grandson? Hope all is well .Just getting over a 2 day flu that had my head on the couch for 2 days in dream land. I think gatorade saved the day though.. lol gail

My new grandson is doing very well, thanks Gail. Although I haven't seen too much of him. I've been watching Aidan (his 3 year old brother)
just to help out his mommy a little, but I have to say I just love having him with me. He helps me forget my problems.
I hope you start feeling better soon LOL
