Hi everyone,

I hope you're all well..Sorry I've been a bit scarce lately.. life has been throwing me curve after curve, and just when I thought things would calm down a bit- this past saturday, my sister (whos my best friend and partner in crime devil )  suffered a stroke and is in ICU now fully dependant on a respirator.. not sure what her prognosis is just yet, its very much touch and go..

ok.. so I had my colonoscopy yesterday..and since they were doing that, they decided to go ahead and do an endoscopy at the same time, as I made it CLEAR I was never doing that prep again (LOL) all seemingly went well.. and I'm told they didn't find any signs of Crohns.. it'll take a couple of weeks for the biopsy's to come back, though.. while I am very relieved it doesn't appear to be Crohns, there is still no cause for my continuing rapid weight loss.. I will follow up with my doc *eyeroll* the best they could give me is 2 weeks from now.. I'll no doubt be under 100 lbs by then.. I'm drinking LOTS of ensure, and eating as balanced a diet as I can.. a bit tough with spending all day at the hospital with sis, but I bring ensure with me, and try and avoid the vending machine temptations..

since you guys have been so wonderful, I wondered if it would be alright that I continue to "hang out" here? at least til I see my doc at the follow up and have some idea whats next..

thanks again for everything

Hello Tokala,

Diagnosis seems to be difficult for some problems. I hope they find out what is troubling you and I hope it isn't Crohn's but something that is quickly and easily curable!! I'm praying that your sister recovers fully!!
Diagnosed with rectal Crohn's in early 2007.  Several peri-rectal abscesses and two fistulae with setons.  Allergic to Remicade and Humira.  Currently on 6MP, and vitamins D and B-12.

I'm so happy its ok to continue hanging out with you guys.. in the short time I've been a member, I have received so much strength here..

as Gail said, all this weight loss can leave one feeling pretty run down- which I am finding to be so true.. I wish I weren't so tired all the time..

thanks again everyone.. I'll keep you all posted on my progress, as well as Kris's..
