i was on pred for three months and i have now been off it for three weeks.
And now i have "fur" tongue
On my back, chin, upper lip and forehead.

My question is how long does it take for this to go away ?

I search some old post but none mention how long i should wait for my new winter coat to go away smilewinkgrin

It took mine about a month. I hate prednisone hair...and chipmunk face, pregnant belly, and crazed animal mood swing.

Yeah, I had hair in the worst places while I was on Pred.  I actually had it on my cheeks...I took care of that REAL quick by shaving it off lol.  I had hair on my back and my upper arms, and on the back of my neck going up to my ears.  The hair on my back and arms were more like a dark fuzzy hair, but the hair on my face was like long black hairs.  It all went away about a month after I stopped taking it.

Dianogsed with Crohns: At 16 years old. 22 years old now.
Surgeries:2 Bowel Resections, Gallbladder Removed.
Current Meds: Humira (bi-weekly)

Hi

I too have been on Pred and got hairy cheeks and hairy arms. I immac'd my face. My arms went back to normal in about 2-3 months.

I have also been on Budonside (another steriod) and I got hairy again though not quite so bad, I didnt immac that time and the hair on my face took about 3 months to go. It might be less with you though.

Good luck
