Has anyone experienced a sharp stabbing pain in the lower abdomin during sex.  I have had this problem for a long time and I'm wondering if it has anything do do with crohns as I had an internal pelvic ultrasound but nothing was found.  I had my resection 2 months ago and was hoping that it would take care of it, but it didn't help.

I had the same experience. No relief at all after my resection. My gyno said I could go on bc pills and see if that would help, but I declined. That's all I need is to go on another med. Plus I get migraines I at the moment they are in check.

dx'd with Crohns 1984, I was in remission for 12 years

I get this but only when I am in a flare. It is really painful! I didn't mention it do my Doc. because I don't feel comfortable talking to him about that. I just avoid sex while I am sick. It sucks but I haven't found any other solution.

Have you tried changing positions? For me, some pain (not all) was only with certain positions....I think it must have something to do with scar tissue but I have no idea.

Oh dear,  YES I did have awful pain with sex. smhair   I remember  holding onto my stomach to keep it in place to relieve pain during motion.  I noticed the pain was worse if I ate anything spicy or with any dairy.  I thought sex would be horrible forever, until I got into remission. turn

Just eat healthy, avoid certain foods, dairy, advil products, and hold your abdomen or change positions.  There will be healing and pain free sex in your future.  As all Crohnies know, patience is a never ending requirement to living beyond your illness.
