I don't know if this would be SCD legal or not but it is something really mild and bland that I can always eat with rice or naan (indian bread).
There is a company called "tasty bite" that makes these meals ready to eat that just need to be boiled. They are sometimes in the organic aisle of the grocery store and sometimes in the "ethnic" aisle. I am a huge fan of the spinach dal and the Jodhpur Lentils. I had the Jodhpur Lentils tonight and the ingredients are: water, lentils, tomatoes, sunflower oil, butter, salt, garlic, cumin, tumeric, chiles. But it is not spicey. The only downside is the sodium is a little high (27% of daily value). But, there is only 100 calories and 7 grams of fiber, and 6 grams of protein.
I know we are always looking for "safe" foods and this is now one of mine. Also, since it is an MRE you can take it camping or on vacation. All you need is boiling water and it's cooked!!
(I'll be posting my new drink discovery in my next post.)
