What meds are you on? Some meds can cause the increase in liver enzymes.

Mine frequently get elevated and will stay that way for a while and then go back down.  I've had ERCPs, MCRPs, liver biopsies, etc. done and they only showed that my bile ducts were inflamed.  We just keep testing periodically and they always go back down. They thought last time maybe it was the 6mp, but they were elevated before I even started it and the levels went back to normal while I was still on it.  Since stopping it, though, my enzymes have been normal.

Crohn's Disease, Acid Reflux/Gastritis, Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, Endometriosis, Arthritis, Depression/Anxiety.  Too many meds to list them all.  =)

my doc took me off asacol bc the combo of that and 6-mp got my liver #'s really out of whack...they started dropping when i quit the asacol...i think prednisone can affect levels also.

i'm taking salofalk granules. i know they can cause some liver problems but ur not meant to stay on them if they do, and my GI doesnt think it's do with the meds, cos if it were then he would take me off them. so yeh i dunno if it's something that happens with crohn's or what?

My doctor ran some liver tests on me yesterday, I don't have the results yet but she seemed concerned and had to take me off of Pentasa. I wouldn't be surprised if mine were out of whack as well. Your doctor should try you on different meds and see if they go back to normal in my opinion :/

My liver enzymes started showing up elevated when I was on 6-MP so I went on and off of that for a while. They kept being elevated so I finally had a liver biopsy done which showed I have Alpha-1 Antitrypsin deficiency. It's an enzyme deficiency (I can't explain it, try google). So anyways, since the biopsy my lab tests have been "normal" and my doc says there's nothing to worry about. I didn't know there were others out there that had elevated liver enzymes. Some times I feel like I'm on an island, ya know? Just make sure you keep an eye on it though.
