I had a colonscopy on Tuesday. (number 4 all together) This time it was for pre-op. However, I am having pain in my right side since then. Yesterday (Wednesday) it was pretty bad and hurt to walk and could not lay on that side. It's not like usual Crohn's pain - it's more like stabbing. Today the pain is less but still there. Has anyone had this after a colonscopy? I think since the pain is less than yesterday, that's a good thing. But when would you call the doctor?

Thanks in advance.

Yes it can happen, but I think I would call the doc just to be on the safe side. We do not want you to be perferated.

And be sure to monitor for fever and/or bleeding, which would suggest possible perforation.

I get really crampy for about 2-3 days after a c-scope (everytime). I think like Navy said it can happen, but do contact the doc if it gets any worse.
