my daughter has been having sitz baths several times a day for her peri anal abcess.  But last week the surgeon and the GI covering at the hospital told her she would benefit from whirlpool therapy after her surgery.  In hospital they gave her one each day and said  to keep it up.  The wound is very much open.  I just ordered a unit you put right in the tub.
She's feeling pretty bad right now, but she is moving much better and she doesn't have a fever.  she just feels ill overall.

Do you put anything in the water? Epson salts were good when I had to do sitz baths for a surgery. Hope she is feeling better soon.

Hi would you mind telling me how old your daughter is. My son is 25 and has had several fistulaes and absecess (severe) over the past 2 years - just diagnosed with crohns and starting medication, but now found out that the cost of meds wont be met by our Medical Aid (insurance).
