Hey guys.  My mouth has been going whacko over the last year.  All new stuff I never had an issue with before.  I now have gums that bleed terribly---the dental hygenist says it's because I don't floss enough.  But I am flossing more now than i ever did before.
I asked months ago about this odd dent that appeared in the roof of my mouth.  Sure it may be more exaggerated in my head because I can only "see" it with my tongue.  Hygenist said she could not see it.  It is definitely different from the same spot on the opposite side of my mouth.  I was not worrying about it, but now it is a little tender to touch---not real bad, but I have waited for things to get real bad in the past and I'm trying to better about not waiting for medical care.
The sad part is my dentist has a child with CD.  I think he's in denial becuase he does not want to hear anything about it--he asks me a question, then changes the subject when I start to answer.  I don't know if he'll really look at it as I don't think he wants to know the side issues possible with CD.
So I come to you my friends.  I know about the white things in the throat and sores in the mouth from your comments.  i don't have those.  Anyone know about sore dents in the roof of a mouth?
Dx'd '90 (emergency rupture), symptoms ignored long before that, '03 fistulas and bad flagyl reactions, B12 weekly, Pentasa [until I surrender to the bigger meds]

I dont know about dents , does a hole in the head count ? Maybe you are irritating the spot with your tongue. I know when I have anything new going on in my mouth I cant keep my tongue away from it. Its like it has a mind of its on and it just keeps fooling around with whatever is there. Also a tinny spot in the mouth feels hugh when we feel it with the tongue. Can you see it with a mirror ? Maybe you need to see another dentist too. Also a word about flossing. I use to do more damage I think with floss until I started using the little gadgets shaped like a U with the floss in between. Make it easier to not cut you gums. Sorry I'm not much help. Hope you get an answer soon.

I have CD and I have the same exact thing you describe. It is a small dent on the roof of my mouth behind my left canine. Definitely different than the other side of my mouth and is sore.

I know this thread is old but just wanted to add this in case it pops up for someone else googling the issue.

Hi duppyconqueror. Wow 7 years ago I wrote that!!!!

So I never got an answer to it and the "dent" is still there. I wish that was still my biggest concern :-) Mine no longer is achey....but it does seem a little deeper. I just assume I ate something hard that damaged the roof of my mouth at this point.
Age 50ish, female. TI resected 1990 due to rupture and one fistula in 2003. Confirmed RA and likely nerve issue now. Pentasa, cholestyramine, GERD med---now seriously considering Humira.
