long time no speak kiddies. hope this finds everyone doing well :)

little background, i started having very watery bowel movements on saturday. couldn't even make it through dinner without going to the bathroom 4 times. sunday things got worse and more painful. possible blood in these very watery bm's. by sunday night/early morning monday there was definitely blood as it seemed to be all i was passing besides some yellow looking gunk. every 20-30 minutes. went to see my gi, he ruled out a partial blockage via x-rays. said my blood work was fine. currently waiting on my stool results. i am not vomiting though and i had a low grade fever for 1/2 the day on sunday but that's it. today, still the same, very water bowel movements 2-4 times per hour. today it is looking greenish though.

any help, similar experiences, comments are truly appreciated. thanks in advance!

Hi there. I had this same problem before I was officially diagnosed with Crohn's. I was passing what looked like egg yolk, and if I had stools at all, it was either yellow or greenish. My blood work did not show inflammation, and stool cultures ruled out food poisoning. The colonoscopy showed inflammation and ulcers; I was treated with Entocort and felt better within a matter of days thereafter. So, in my case, it was a flare.

The one time I had food poisoning, I basically vomited non-stop for 2 days.

I had food poisoning once. I didn't make it home from the restaurant before I was throwing up. By the time I got everything out of my system (a few hours) I felt much better, and by the next day, I was weak, but felt OK. I had a bad bug a couple of years ago, and was about like you, but I was throwing on top of it. I ended up in the ER dehydrated in a matter of hours. I assume since you saw the Doctor, that you are doing OK in that respect. When you had your colonoscopy, did the Doctor take biopsies?

Managing with strict low residue diet, keeping symptoms to a minimum. All test show small amount of ulceration, still have occasional blockages. But still have a great time with my 2 daughters and husband!

hi zanne - they gave me 1000cc of fluids yesterday and i barely had to pee after that so i guess i was fairly dehydrated. i am trying to keep up with drinking fluids but it's unappealing. i'm usually a chug a full glass of cold water kind of girl. and now tomorrow i am supposed to go for a ct scan. how my test happy gi thinks i am going to down 2 bottles of barium when i can barely drink water and ginger ale is beyond me :( and yes, he did take biopsies at my last scope. i unfortunately was mostly awake for that one. i honestly feel like i have drank bowel prep for the past 48 hours!
