Still in hospital

But, guess what? I have been joined by my wife. She gave birth to our second child, a girl. She was 7pound 6 ounce. She is6 weeksearly but in perfect health. We have called her Eirean Saoirse.
 
As for me, I am hopeful of being out of hospital as of tommorow. Sorry, really short post, but I am just so over the moon and exicted. lol

Prednisolone back up to 60mg as of the 24/2  asacol, 3000mg -Omeprazole 40mg (according to doc, it helps with intestine ulcers) - Buscopan 10mg (a daily) Remedeine 30mg-Probiotic

AWWWW!!!! Congrats on your precious baby girl. And my goodness, maybe it was a good thing she came early. At 7 lbs 6 oz at 6 weeks premature, she would have been a giant if she made it to term:)

Can you tell us how to pronouce her name? Is it like Ire-e-an or is it a different spelling for Irene? I love different names myself.

Been living with Crohn's Disease for 33 years. Currently on Asacol, Prilosec, Estrace, Prinivil, Diltiazem, Percoset prn for pain, Zofran, Phenergan, Probiotics, and Calcium and Xanax as needed. It is Irish for Ireland Freedom. Not a political statement, lol, just a name I have always liked.

That's wonderful news, except for the part about you still being in the hospital. I do hope you get to go home soon and that both you and your wife will have some help coming to make things a bit easier when you DO get home!!!

CD 20 years officially, 30 unofficially. 3 resections '93, '95 '97
Managing with strict low residue diet, keeping symptoms to a minimum. All test show small amount of ulceration, still have occasional blockages. But still have a great time with my 2 daughters and husband!


Prednisone, 6MP,Prevacid, B12 shots, Bentyl, Xifaxan.....

Diagnosed with Crohn's March 2006, Fibromyalgia November 2008
Asacol 3 times a day, Remicade 10mg/kg every 4 weeks, Prednisone 10 mg, Miralax,  Prevacid 30mg, Vit B12, Vitamin D, Slow-FE (Iron), Hydrocortisone enemas
Imuran stopped 9/8/08 (possible Pancreatitis)
Paxil 40mg daily (for Panic disorder)
Xanax .5mg three times a day, 1mg at bedtime (for anxiety attacks)

Diagnosed with Crohns in 2001
First and hopefully last Ileocecectomy 2/18/2009

Medications: Asacol, Folic Acid, Multivitamin, Dbl. Calcium, Probiotics, Protonix, Monthly B-12 injections.

Living a Great life with my Wife and my two Chocolate Labs
Hunter & Hailey.
I love them dearly.

man thanks for the congrats. I got some good news from my doc today, i am going home on monday. YESSSSSSS.. Also the weekend keeps getting better. IrelandWON the six nations rugby today and did the grand slam and beat all theother 5 teams. Isn't life great when thing start to look up?

Congratulations!! You and your wife must be elated...I wish you three the best of luck and I'm really glad to hear you are feeling better.
20 years old, Diagnosed with moderate to severe Crohn's and Colitis in May of 2008.
Currently taking:
Prednisone 10 mg, pentasa 2 pills 4x a day, bentyl as needed, omeprazole in the morning, prenatal multivitamin, humira every other week, and Align probiotics given to me by my GI.
Surgery for ectopic pregnancy most likely the result of severe Crohn's inflammation in July of 2008.
Diet almost completely without refined sugars, wheat, flour, gluten, high lactose dairy, and/or junk food in general.
Learning how to live again.
