Hello Everyone-

So I have been measuring my daily output and reporting it to my dr and doing stool samples. Tonite I found tons of pure undigested food in my poop. I would expect to see vegetables= which there were but was more than a little disturbed to find chicken as well and that this is from last nite's meal. I know it means that I am obviously having fast transit time but I have never seen this much pure food in my poop before. It freaks me out if I am not even digesting chicken- what can I digest? Any words of advice or knowledge, please? I did get my colonoscopy moved up to monday morning- I think the pred is working to slow things down but this just bugged me out.

thanks for all your help and understanding.

Try to calm down.... You're going to have a colonoscopy done, so that will help the doctor see what the status of your disease is currently. You're doing all you can do for the moment... :)

That being said, it's very common for people with Crohn's (and even some people without Crohn's) to see undigested food in their stool...

I've seen whole Gummy Bears in my stool. I'm not joking (though, it would be an interesting joke).
I think I am being picked on by life, sometimes. But's that okay. Life and I are good buddies... I know life doesn't mean no harm. It just is the way it is. I can accept that.

Just a quick story for you. One time I had eaten spaghetti for dinner and a couple of glasses of cherry koolaid. When I went to the bathroom I thought I had passed bloody worms. I was so scared I had a panic attack until I remembered what I had eaten the night before.. Crohn's is a laugh a minute......not really.
Crohns 30 years. Ileostomy for 15 years. Symptom free for 14 years until 8 months ago. Now on Remicade, Flagyl, B-12 injections and iron. Feeling much better!
God Bless. Tony

Yellow - a friend saw tomato skins, thought they were worms, scooped them out and brought them to the doctor freaking out. She was so happy to hear they were not worms.

Celey, I have had whole beans come up when I threw up and wondered how the heck they got down there whole since I try to chew chew chew. Funny that you swallowed the bear whole.
27 Year old married female law student (last year!!). Diagnosed w/ CD 4 years ago, IBS for over 10 years before that, which was probably the CD. I am sort of lactose intollerant too but can handle anything cultured and do well w/ lactose pills and lactaid. For crohns I am currently on Pentasa 4 pills/4x day and hysociamine prn. I also have bad acid reflux and have been on PPI's since age 13. I have been through prilosec, prevacid, and nexium. Currently I am on Protonix in the morning and Zantac at night.  I take xanax prn for situational anxiety (aka no easy bathroom access).

I didn't swallow it whole... I do chew my food... *lol* But... by the looks of it, it certainly didn't look like I had chewed my Gummy Bears... //^_^\\'
