So, for the past few weeks I have been very bloated. I'm usually rail think so it has been very noticeable. It gets worse after meals and has caused a lot of back pain at night. Went in for a small bowel follow thru yesterday and it took forever. In fact I had to some back this morning to finish. The radiologist doctor came in and did some more examination under the x-ray and seemed concerned. Asked me what meds I was on, what symptoms I was having, and asked after taking a look at the day before photos if I felt acutely ill. Like I should feel ill or something. Said he called my doctor and was waiting for a return call. Now I am very scared. Wonder what they saw. Anyone else had the extreme bloating?

I am wondering if he saw a narrow stricture in you. That usually is the case if it takes this long to go thru you and with the bloating. Have you been nauseous at all lately? I had nausea when I had my stricture. But don't worry yet, until you talk to the doctor. I know, easier said than done. Good luck!

No nausea. Which is odd. When I have had a blockage before I was very sick throwing up and all. Thanks for your support.

After having my resection my surgeon was shocked because I did not have any symptoms from my extremely narrowed stricture. She said it was as thin as a pencil and could not believe food got through there.
What I'm saying is that you probably do have a stricture but with no symptoms like myself.

Stay calm and just to be safe stay on low residue until you hear from your doctor.

Good Luck!!

I did. The small bowel follow through showed that my small bowel looked great. Problem is it didn't show the ilieum real well so he wants to do a cat scan. I'm back on the SCD diet and the bloating is now down to minimum.
