Possibly, because one GI, an old timer in the field, told me they used to refer to Crohn's as "ileitis" and after checking web dictionaries via Google, it seems most of them show the phrase is synonymous with Crohn's:
ileitis /il·e·itis/ (-i´tis) inflammation of the ileum.
distal ileitis , regional ileitis Crohn's disease affecting the ileum.
If the doctor gives you a diagnosis of Crohn's, the next step is likely to be to decide upon a treatment. The CCFA website provides a good overview of the condition and key treatment options: http://www.ccfa.org/info/?LMI=4
