"sick and tired of being sick and tired" That's what I told my doc for years .... finally went to another doc and found I was very iron defiecient. Now I am taking liquid iron three times a day and it is helping but I am still tired of being sick and tired lol. Some days are better than others ... enjoy the good ones and hide on the bad ones!

I do b-12 and vegetable based iron/b12 compound called blood builder. The b-12 is a creme i put on my skin since i don't eat enough and i don't absorb it, my energy is waaaaaaaaaay high compared to how i felt before i took these two things!! I do the iron/12 compund 4-5x a week and the skin creme 2x a week. If i forget the skin creme for a week, i feel crappy.

I know the feeling..at time so weak it is all you can do to walk up the steps to go to bed...been there am there...afternoon naps do help...I take a butt load of vitimins and they seem to help but what helps the most is to stop whatever your doing and rest...i know that is not realistic but the diesease doesn't care...the hardest part of this is that people do not understand that we need to go slow and rest alot..I have sons that are athletes (high school and now college) and there is no way I can keep up with them people are always wondering why I can not keep up...It is the CD curse, you look healthy but inside you are so weak that you are shaking and what nothing more than a place to lay down and rest.

eyes Oh, have you ever hit the nail on the head there, fmk ! That is exactly how I feel right now. I am supposed to be going out to a friend's for a meal tonight - he has bought and is cooking food specially, so that I can eat with my friends for once. But for most of this week, and certainly all of this afternoon, I have just felt like I am running up a hill, even when I am just sitting down. I could catch a bus, but that means I write off the rest of my plans for the weekend, as it would use the last of my cash until Tuesday. I would go lie down and rest, hopefully improve, but I can't even do that as I started to "tidy up" this morning and now my bed is covered with stuff I am too weak to shift ! shocked
shakehead Some days you just cannot win for losing. I can't wait for sunnier days (we have a seafog here today) when I will get recharged by the sunshine, and will have some more energy at last.

Fimk, Snohare... I also feel the same way... Like right now, for instance... I have a group meeting to attend (for a project in class).... So, I'm trying desperately to stay awake right now.... But all I want to do is go lay down and sleep...

And yesterday... Man, I feel just awful... I thought I'd lay down just for a little bit before a meeting with a counselor here on campus.... I ended up missing the meeting... :(...
I think I am being picked on by life, sometimes. But's that okay. Life and I are good buddies... I know life doesn't mean no harm. It just is the way it is. I can accept that.

yeah Oh, I feel your pain, Celey ! (I think there is a shared pool of it out there...actually more like an ocean eyes ) Have you ever seen that Dilbert book, "Still Pumped From Using The Mouse" ? It just occurred to me just now - I am the opposite, I am feeling tired just from using the scroll button on the mouse !! Days like this, I suddenly lose muscle tone with no notice, cannot clench a fist without my arm feeling like it has hypothermia, can't sit up straight (what I call "puppet strings" because I'm like a puppet with loose strings) and just feel totally cream crackered. But I was just on the phone to two friends and I was amazed at how normal and happy I sounded. It was like we were in parallel universes, with just a little one way window from mine to theirs.
nono But I know it ain't always so.
Ne Ne, days like these for me are now the rare exception rather than the rule. Some fatigue is normal, yes. I have to watch what I eat all the time, must have enough vitamins and Essential Fatty Acids and probiotics and electrolytes, but most of the time, eating fresh enough food and making sure I don't do too much physical activity will keep me from going back to square one like this. And now that I know what I have to do, recognise what is coming, what foods or lack of foods help trigger it, I get back to normal much faster than when I was ill first of all.
It's just my opinion, based on my own personal experience, but if you have not already been on an exclusion diet to see if that is part of your problem (eg gluten, dairy, eggs) then that might be well worth trying. It's not a magic pill, but it can work wonders. wink

Ne Ne have you had your blood checked recently? I am wondering if you might be anemic. I would give the doc a call and discuss. Good luck!

ne ne....ditto to some of the above stuff...b12 deficiency can cause macrocytic anemia i think....it can be low without actually being below normal...there are some confirmatory test like an mma...B12 deficiency can do all kinds of crazy things...fatigue, weird pains and itches, depression, concentration problems...

just a thought! good luck
