It's been a battle- more mentally than physically. Small things set me back mentally. For example- I was at the Tax consultant and he made a general statement regarding retirement and I for some reason started to think whether or not I would make it to my retirement! I yo-yo between being positive about this condition and negative.
Physically, after four days of 2.4 g Lialda, the blood in stool is gone. Lost a few pounds. I sometimes have nausea in the morning that tends to go away as the day progresses. Rest okay.
Nice day to you folks!!!

Ya, the good news about this disease is it won't necessarily kill you directly (with the exception of a perforated bowel that doesn't get treated right away) the bad news is you can live a loooooooooong life with this stupid disease. But at the same time, many people find remission quickly and stay in it for a looooooooong time too and live very active and productive fairly decent lives with this disease. Always try and look on the bright side in any bad situtaion, it may help you get through it better.

My bum is broken....there's a big crack down the middle of it! LOL :)
