Hi all!  I haven't been on here in forever so I hope everyone is doing well!  I've been feeling well with my Crohn's except I was having some pain in my upper and right side of my abdomen.  I had a CT scan and it showed I have possible liver cysts and thickening of the stomach.  I'm having an ultrasound on Friday and an EGD in two weeks.

My question(s) is... Has anyone had liver cysts? Can Methotrexate cause liver cysts?

This is a new territory for me and it has me a little stressed. shocked    Any comments or advice is appreciated!

Many healthy people have cysts on their livers that are discovered usually when they have ultrasounds or other tests. Most have no problems with them. They are usually nothing to worry about and they don't do anything with them.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Could you possibly be having some gallbladder problems? Maybe thats why you have the upper right side pain. I have had my GB out already, and I always have pain in my upper right side of my rib cage. I think mine is just referred pain from my intestines or possibly adhesions. Good luck on your tests.

Thanks Nanners!  I've had my gallbladder out and haven't had pain there except for the last few months or so.  My GI and I are assuming the cysts are why I'm having the pain.  I'll just have to wait it out!  Thanks again!
