I know it is selfish because so many people have so much more to deal with than I do, however I am completly angry about my health today!

I have been taking doing what the doctor says for a year and three mo's and I just don't seem to be getting better.  I mean some symptoms are better, however others seem to have poped up in their place.  For example, I am not having much if any blood, yet I my pain and swelling are so much worse.  I have gainned like 60 pounds since Jan. 2008 and I said I would never complain about it because I would be feeling better....well I'm not feeling better. It is like BLAH!

I have bought some beautiful new clothes (which I also always said was a upside to gainning this weight), yet I am so swollen that I look 9 mos preg. and it hurts.

I just thought that I would be feeling better by now--not 100% of course, but at maybe 80%.

I know so many of you have days like this too--so you wouldn't mind my venting.

I'm so sorry you're feeling down...abdominal swelling and the accompanying pain are the worst sometimes. I never liked looking pregnant when that was not the case anyway..I hope you start feeling better!!!

I agree 100 % this sucks.
Hope you fell better soon
I sometimes feel ashamed to be complaining about this disease because there are so many that have more serious condition the me, but I have every right to complain and be unhappy with this though it may not kill me like cancer. So just Vent away all you want we feel your pain :(

You do everything you are told to do and still not getting better.

The only relief I have had was after i stopped eating wheat and gluten helped so much.
I am also on my way to she a herb specialist I would try something like that and acupuncture.

I gained 40 pounds in 3 months while i was on pred and I am sometimes so bloated that I look like my Brother in law wife who is by the way 7 months pregnant.

Big hugs..

Exactly...I feel almost guilty about being angry and really try not to be. I don't have anything I can't live with and so many others do. Realistically, so many other crhons sufferers are extremely worse off than I am.

I try to stay positive...as do we all, however sometimes angry days help.

All the women in my immediate family have autoimmune disorders--this is both a blessing and a curse. My cousin (who was raised with me like a sister) is both diabetic and has sarcoidosis. This has helped me stay "strong" about things...I see all of them living with daily pain, weakness, etc...

At Sunday dinner my mom was talking about walking.....I said,"doesn't that hurt your legs? I walk down to the bus stop and it hurts." She told me yes it hurts, but like my grandad said if we stop then it will get us.

Somedays it would be easier to stop...lol!

Oh boy am I with you on this. I feel like every time I go to the doctor he decides to try a new treatment and says "I really think we are going to get you into remission with this." Well I'm still waiting. I have about resigned to the rest of my life being like this (and I'm 18). I have not been in the best place lately.

isogerdur said something about acupuncture. Has that helped anyone else?
