Things are getting slightly better.  My butt doesnt hurt as much, granted all I do is lay down.  My dad is coming over next week to help me pack and I will be flying home next sunday.  So I just have to make it a couple more days on my own.  If I have made it this far I can make it a few more days.  I feel better knowing that in a few days I will be back in my own bed with my mom making me soup and my dog curled up next to me. It also helps that I saw my GI this week and he agrees that something is wrong but other than doing a specified blood test to see the break down of Aziothioprine in my body we have decided to wait and do the rest of the test when I get home.

Thank you so much for caring and seeing how I am doing.  I appreciate it beyond belief.

Oh Dreamer! How wonderful!! I am so relieved for you!! When I was so very sick and alone, I cried when my relatives arrived. I am crying now for you!!

Be prepared for your Dad's reaction! He may not really understand -- who would except others with abscesing/fistulizing CD!! Seeing is believing so show him everything. He is your Dad so he can and needs to look. In this way, he will really understand why you can't sit!! Then he will be able to help you better on your trip, like getting you boarded early on the plane. He can call ahead and warn the airline of your condition. Maybe they will upgrade your seat and pamper you.

I suggest you make an appointment now with both your home GI and colo-rectal surgeon. Ask them to see you as soon as you return, and see both on the same day back-to-back so you won't have to travel so much. I bet they will want to take a look at you so they know your situation. Get your records sent to your home doc from London now.

I'm praying for a safe and incredibly comfortable trip for you!!
Diagnosed with Crohn's in early 2007.  Several peri-rectal abscesses and two fistulae with setons.  Allergic to Remicade and Humira.  Currently on 6MP, and vitamins D and B-12.
