I am not into the cleansing diets. But almost 2 weeks ago I started the Hilton Head Metabolism diet. And I have lost 7 pounds already. It's tough...he tells you exactly what to eat, so you don't have alot of flexability, but the people I know who have done it have not gained the weight back once they resumed eating normally again....but let me add this....if you go back to eating bad and too much you obviously will. But his theory is, if you continue to eat well balanced meals and exercise you won't. Which is the way we should be eating anyways. I am in remission and have not had any issues with my crohns on this diet. I feel awesome and have tons of energy.
