There were the following drug companies there:
P&G: I told them that their product worked wonders for many,(Asacol)He said thanks...
Abbott:Humira, got to see the purple pen, and talk to the rep about how it is used and when...
Half-lightly: told the rep that I'd like to punch him in the stomach, he said "now why would you want to do that".
Remicade:no table
Shire:our Pentasa friends, were there...
Align, a daily Proboitic supplement ...
Ton's of information from CCFA and the drug companies...
Dr Terrence Barrett from Northwestern University spoke...
There are many new drugs coming out that are similar to Remicade, that might be used if Remicade treatments
have been stopped, and then restarted, with no improvement...
He talked about stress, other Dr's talked about stem cell treatment, that were in the news, in this area. One person in our area was being treated with stem cells, and was seemly cured, but alas, it was a one person
study, possibly on a placebo, And the trial has been stopped.(Large article in our local paper claiming a miracle cure.)
Dr. Barrett also spoke about his patients that he struggles with:
23yr old males, who don't take the med"s...and don't listen to him...
Smoker's, which he won't keep as patient's...
I'm sorry to say that most of the rest that was shared was way way over my head,
maybe you can look up Dr. Barrett on the net for more information...
