I had that same injection site response - the white blotches where the fluid went. Last time it went away a couple days after. I just had my 5th dose (2nd maintenance dose) yesterday. The blotches are still there, but I think that's "normal" or at least inconsequential side effect.
I did my first drop for my coming out of the hospital taper. Hoping beyond hope that Cimzia will hold me at some stable spot after the taper. I don't need remission, just stable.
I have never heard of an increased dose, but I know I needed that with both Remicade and Humira. I'd be curious to hear how it goes!!!
