So, I am hoping for some insight.

I had a resection in October and lost some weight after the surgery...naturally. Prior to the surgery, I was really happy with my weight and I was stable. Now, I have put on weight, enough to make me very uncomfortable. I really have not changed my eating habits - who doesn't have a bowl of ice cream here or there? And I go to the gym three to four nights a week for at least two hours.

Has anyone had similar experiences after surgery? What did you do to help lose the weight? Or if anyone has some great diet tips, that would be awesome too.

Thanks to everyone!

If you have not changed your eating habits after surgery but do you still exercise as much ?
Maybe you just have to be more careful now than before surgery.
When you have active Crohn's the food is going more through you than staying on, so now it is maybe staying on.
So you probably have to rethink what you are eating.

good luck

..........I agree you will prolly have to rethink your eating habits

I went down to 80 plus lbs after surgury on Lung but then gained a healthy 25 lbs

Sadly due to some of life's curve balls I am back to 88 lbs

I wish you all the best in this...........

I'm assuming you are in remission now...if so, give the Hilton Head Metabolism Diet a try. I have lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks so far.
