was at gi last week with pain in lower left side seems to radiate towards the back more when i squat down or lift left leg the pain intencifies greatly. had ct done says everything in that area looks normal. It doesnt feel like its in the muscle, it feels deeper into the back. It makes work very difficult (I do alot of walking and bending down at work). Have had crohn's for about 5 years now, mostly with inflamation in rectum area. I'm on lialda, humira (for the joint pain),prevacid. Starting to wonder if I'm going insane!! If anyone has suggestions or help it would be greatly appreciated.

Do you see a Rheumatologist at all? If not, I would recommend you getting a referral to one. Sounds like you have some Crohns arthritis going on. Could the pain in your back be in the sacroilliac area (low back/hips area) with the pain going down your leg?

And no you are not going insane:) This dd disease can really tear your body up and make you feel much older than you are. Sending healing thoughts your way.

Thanks nanners. I do see a rh, but havent in a while.I know shame on me. Maybe good time to make appt. The pain is a little higher than the hip almost in kidney area, but all blood test were great. It doesnt remind me of the joint pain i get in the hands, neck and knees. This pain isnt that achy arthritis pain i get, but more of a sharp stabbing pain.
and yes it does make you feel much older. I feel like I'm 41 going on 70 most of the time. Naps are an essential!!!!
