I too have ongoing eye problems

in my case it's Cogan's Dystrophy that the specialist says is likely exacerbated by having an auto immune disease

they (the drs) weren't kidding when they said Crohn's will affect every aspect of your life!

......Hi there i added a title to this thread/post as well if you want it different by all means change it...you will find ppl answer more when the subject line is up imho....lyn

ideaMy eye doctor told me about Cogan's Dystrophy as well 2 others due to prednisone use. One was supposed to be extremely painful due to injury to the conjunctiva which is the outermost layer of the eye. The other had to do with the retina detaching from the back (inside) of the eye. He recommends that I get an eye exam every year especially if I'm on prednisone. Luckly in British Columbia the medical system pays for it every year if your on prednisone or have crohn'srolleyes
Male with Crohn's since 15 years old, diagnosed at age 46. Terminal ileum resected 2002. 5 months of remission. Crohn's has now been active since early 2003.Had a gall bladder removed Nov. of 2009. Currently on 5-asa Salofalk ,Remicade every 8 weeks, Nexium, Iron, B-12 injection every 4 weeks, Morphine Sulfate as needed for pain. Cymbalta for long term pain control. Entecort, Imuran and Prednisone in the past.
