Now I have been waiting FOREVER (well, all day)   for a surgery date.

UGH!
30 years old.
Single, probably always will be...  In fact, I bet I become "the cat lady" of the neighborhood...  Only thing is, I am not a fan of cats.
Oh and as an added bonus, I am a FAT girl with Crohns...
I am getting ready for my first resection....   My mom always said my beauty was on the inside...   sooo what does it mean when my insides are a mess???   Thanks mom!  I bet I inhereted Crohns from your side of the family.
NO GUTS-NO GLORY!!!    So, once I get my guts removed...   My "Glory" days are over....

That about sums me up!

I hate when you have to wait for a date on things like that!! The anticipation is almost worse than the procedure itself.

I bet a knight on a white horse will be riding up to you when you least expect it...

Hey Curly,

Never give up in love or in health!! I know how you feel, i was pretty bad in the confidence levels all my life plus i didn't get out much with the crohns. Only in the last few years have i gained my confidence back. I had surgery about 10 yrs ago and it was the best thing i ever did! New lease of life. Never really had alot of men after me in my 20s and if i did they were losers. So i decided to take matters into my own hands and stopped putting myself down and settling for second best. Then last year (in the last year of my 20s) mr wonderful came along. And yes - just when i wasn't expecting it. And he actually loves me despite my illness/scars/moodiness and actually says he wants to spend the rest of his life with me. Now i never thought that day would come!

So keep the faith and best of luck with the surgery - feeling healthy & pain free is the top priority and after that you'll be ready for anything!!

Good Luck,
Lila

Hey Curly,

Don't give up the fight girl!! You are so much more than Crohns Disease. I like what Lila had to say. After her surgery she felt so much better and finally met the man of her dreams. This could very well happen for you too!!

I have been blessed to have been married twice in my life. My first husband did not really understand all that having Crohns entailed, and really just couldn't handle a sick wife.

My current husband has been a dream husband. I have been with him the years that I have been the sickest with my Crohns. He is faithfully by my side everyday. He massages some part of my aching body EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. He has been there putting wet/dry bandages into my open infected incision. He has seen the worst, and yet he is still here loving me unconditionally.

This can and will happen for you too. Don't let the Crohns disease win and remember you are more than Crohns Disease. You are a young and beautiful person who deserves to be loved unconditionally.

God Bless,
Gail *Nanners*
