Yesterday was my prep day and I my doc prescribed the Miralax/Ducolax prep, which I've done at least 5 other times and it's been a success.  My scope is scheduled for 11:30 today--it's 7:44 a.m. now.  Anyway, it took a REALLY long time for things to start moving and I'm not sure I'm cleaned out.  I've never experienced this before.  I took 4 ducolax at 3:30 p.m. yesterday, and then started drinking my miralax drink at 5:30 p.m.   Normally, I'm done by 9:00 at the latest, but last night I didn't even start going until 8ish and it wasn't much.  I went to bed feeling like a giant balloon and slept fine until about 3:30 a.m.   Went to the bathroom a little more and it was definitely all liquid.  However, now that I'm up and going I still feel very full.  Has this ever happened with anyone?    The whole reason I'm having the scope is because my GI thinks I might have a partial blockage in the ileum area.  Should I call and talk to the Dr? This makes me very worried for the results.

Yep, I would call. If you can't get thru to the doc try calling the endoscopy facility and talking to the staff and explain the situation. IF you are lucky you can do more prep and be shuttled to the end of the day. But don't count on it. Good luck!!

I would definitely call the doc's office and explain to them what's going on. They might want to re-schedule your appointment for later in the day or something.

I know that the docs have an instrument that they use to "clean out" whatever the laxatives leave behind, but from what I understand you have to be pretty darn near empty. I hope things improve for you!

The scope was a success, thank goodness!  However, I'm seeing a surgeon next week.  Ugh!  I'm scared to death of that.

What did they say after your scope? Do you have a blockage in the TI?  My GI doctor was the one who said it was time to see the surgeon and why I needed  surgery.

Yes, I have a ileocolonic obstruction (partial).  The surgeon was in house during my procedure and came down to take a look with my G.I.  He agreed that I need surgery.  I'm going for a CT next week and then will meet with the surgeon immediately following the CT.  I'm probably going to have a bazillion questions for all of the experts on here over the next week or so... Thanks in advance for your patience.
