This started on Thursday at about 10 am. I was at work and all of a sudden I got a dull pain in my right abdomen. It kinda felt like the start of a blockage but it was a little bit different. I waited until noon to see if the pain would go away, but it didn't so I called my GI. The nurse said that I should go and get a X-ray to seee if there was an obstruction. Later that evening I felt fine, no pain whatsoever so I ate dinner and even mowed the lawn. Friday morning I felt great. Than Friday late afternoon I had the same pain on my left abdomen and it moved a little towards my bellybutton. It hurt to the touch and also when I would lift or bend.Saturday the pain was still there though not as bad, I could touch the area but on occasion if I would press it would hurt. I woke up this morning and the pain is still on my left side.
Could this be scar tissue causing the pain or a musle pull? Maybe my stitches from February surgery.
I appreciate the replies.

Well I am not so sure what it is, but I do believe you need to get checked out. Like your doc said an xray would be a good start, that would be able to see any kind of blockage. But it also could be some kind of flare too (I hope not) or possibly a hernia. Are your bowels moving okay? I hope its nothing serious and you are able to get feeling better soon.

X-ray showed no blockage.
My BM have been loose the past few weeks, but Friday was a normal formed good poop and no pain during.
It's just wierd that it was on one side and a day later it 's on the other side. It was better today, even when lift or using stomach muscles.
I hope it is nothing serious either, it's kinda got me freaked out a bit. I have to call my doctor on Tuesday and let him know that it went to the other side now. I'm sure he will require me to have some more tests to determine what it is.
