I'm sorry you're dealing with this and don't feel like you can burden your family. My family and friends have been such a source of help and encouragement for me. I hope in time you feel like you can share this part of your life with them. We need all the support we can get when dealing with chronic illness.
I was on Remicade in graduate school and it was a life saver for me. None of my GIs have ever even suggested it would affect fertility and many women on here even took it throughout pregnancy and had healthy babies. It's been on the market awhile so they have done some studies on it and it seems to be okay. I, too, have not had children yet but my GI said the most important thing is for my body to stay healthy; I can't carry a baby if I am not healthy and eating. So, I continue to take cutting edge medication to keep myself healthy so I will be able to carry a child. I am now on Humira. Remicade worked for me for 2.5 years.
Good luck =)
