I am having my first surgery ever, which will be removal of all but the last 6 inches or so.  Silly question with the seriousness of many of my worries, but what should i take?  Some have said just wear the hospital clothes, I have also heard to take leggings?   And I will be in the hospital for 7-10 days. . .visiting 2 year old?  And liquids for 2 days before-yikes.  Any advice would be aprreciated.

I just had a resection, and my 3 year old was at the hospital just about every day. If I had to do it over again, I would not have let my daughter come the day of the surgery. It was very traumatic for her, especially when they took me to the OR and when I had just returned (with the tubes all over the place). She was horrified to see me in such bad shape.
Diagnosed with Crohn's for 13 Years
First Resection 05/19/09 - Currently Medication Free!

Tried prednisone, flagyl, pentasa, imuran, and Humira (developed drug-induced lupus and had to stop).
