I know its not recommended while CD is active, but what about when its not?  Anyone tried this?  Does it help?  I've seen it recommended for those trying to lose weight.  Just wondering!

You have to be careful of the ingredients. There are many colon clensers that will cause a flare. I actually had a barium enema yesterday with a CT Scan and it cleaned my colon right out. I will spear you the details but I actually felt a bit better afterward. Maybe an simple enema instead of a colon cleansing product found on the internet would be good.
25/ Female DXed Crohn's 1/09
Many diet restictions

Entecort, Tramadol (for pain), Zantac, Fish Oil, Probiotics
just stopped Pentasa after 1 month

Still confused and sometimes angry/frustrated

However I am learning to laugh at all this more often

Most of my doctors have advised against colon cleansing any time because it upsets the balance of bacteria in your system. I wouldn't try it personally, but it's of course your choice. If you do then I would at least consult a doctor beforehand..

Ditto. Are you on any sort of probiotic? If not, try that first maybe. It will help build up HEALTHY bacteria in your colon, which in sense will help you in the long run. Probiotics don't work for everyone, and sometimes you need to find the one that works for you. I had success with Flora-Q, but a higher dose of it.
