You can find probiotics just about anywhere now. The best places to go are health food grocery stores or places like the Vitamin Shoppe.
I think generally it's the strain that is more important than the number. I know reuteri and bifidobacterium infantis have helped many people based on wide studies.
I take align (infantis) which has made a very big difference in overall health.

You will generally have to pay a little bit more for good treatment, but it is highly worth it and there are a lot of places that offer discounts.

That may be helpful too, but you can find a lot of other good websites with information on specific strains of probiotics to help you decide which one you want to try first.
It really does have to do with trial and error though. I tried a few different kinds before coming to align that just did not work.

Yes, I highly recommend Align as well.
It was recommended by my GI at the Robertson IBD clinic at Cornell.

So far, she's been right on the money with my treatment.  I can't say that for any other doc I've had.
