Sometimes, when ya gotta go, ya gotta go. But other times, you can wait a bit. I found this website, runpee.com, that lists the best times to duck out of a movie without missing much. It gives you the time and action at the time, plus how long you have, so you can go and not miss much of the plot. Plus, if you want, it will tell you what you missed.

The graphics at the top are really funny, watch the 'N" for a minute or two.

(I am not connected to this site in any way.)

I just take immodium and make sure not to eat or drink anything at least two hours before we leave...I love movies, but not when I have to run in and out of them.

I will have to try to remember that. Now that my kids are older and my husband and I COULD go to the movies, we never THINK to go to the movies. Back when we were dating, we went every weekend.

I actually have missed two movies because of CD....I went back and fourth the first time and when my friend asked if I wanted to leave I told her "no...we would never make it home".

The second time I was with my kids and since my daughter is 15 it wasn't so bad. I went twice and when I had to go the third time I just waited outside for them. It had started to upset my son.

I have just learnt to run down the corridors really quick, poop at speed and run back again. Failing that irritate the heck out of the person you are with by getting them to relay the plot every time you leave the room. Yes I have done that.
Diagnosed 2005.

Current medication  -  infliximab infusions, ranitidine, ferrous sulphate, Vitamin B12 injections, asacol

I'm so lucky that my husband is into that AV stuff...we hardly ever go to the movies anymore (I can't really sit correctly since my bum surgery). We go the nice big plasma (1080p), a netflix subscription, decent sound...and heck, I can pause it whenever I feel like...Though UP and the new Star Trek flik looked pretty good...hmmmmm

The 3-D movies are amazing! We saw Monsters VS. Aliens a few months ago and I couldn't believe the 3-D affects. The old 3-D used to give me a headache but this was great. I kept ducking when things "flew" out into the audience. If you can make it, it is worth seeing them at the theater in 3-D.

The part I didn't like was the $2.50 surcharge. It cost us $9.00/person for the matinee.

When the last Batman was in IMAX I had to make a run to the bathroom. At that point, I was thinking it would be really nice to have a TV in the stall so you could see what you were missing. But then I probably wouldn't leave! tongue

You should be happy, where I live its about 12.50 a movie for the matinee's and thats regular, not imax which is about 15...I won't even get into the pricing on the popcorn meals....when I go to movies well, I have to ignore the popcorn my husband and mom tend to eat which is SOO tempting, but I just learned to ignore it (theatre popcorn kills me)...and I always sit in the aisle seat so I never make anyone move if I have to get up, thats my rule, always an aisle seat, but I do it more since my bladder kills me quicker then anything in theatres especially thier pop.
