Basically seconding what Ivy just said about
the 'new meds,' but also wanted to say that after giving it 4-6 months it finally started making a difference in overall well being. I would at least try it if it is an available option. I know the side effects are enough to deter you, but I have not had any problems other than occasional head ache and fatigue. It made the difference between being stuck in bed on a liquid diet and getting out and being able to eat real food.
