New to healingwell, crohns, and looking for some advice about humira

I think I made a mistake. I am a new comer, looking for some old timers. Going to start humira and a little nervous. Any info please???

Well it definately sounds like you have been thru the ringer, and need some relief. Granted Humira is a big gun, but it sounds like you need it.

Agreed. It sounds as if you've had a horrible time.

If you click on the "new meds" link in my signature, you'll be able to find some good threads where people have been given advice about Humira. I hope you'll find them helpful.

Basically seconding what Ivy just said about the 'new meds,' but also wanted to say that after giving it 4-6 months it finally started making a difference in overall well being. I would at least try it if it is an available option. I know the side effects are enough to deter you, but I have not had any problems other than occasional head ache and fatigue. It made the difference between being stuck in bed on a liquid diet and getting out and being able to eat real food.
20 years old, Diagnosed with moderate to severe Crohn's and Colitis in May of 2008.
Currently taking: Prednisone 10 mg, pentasa 2 pills 4x a day, bentyl as needed, omeprazole in the morning, prenatal multivitamin, humira every other week, and Align probiotics prescribed by my GI.
Diet almost completely without refined sugars, wheat, flour, gluten, high lactose dairy, and/or junk food in general.
