Does this sound like Crohn's, Colitis, or some infection?

Originally I was told by a general surgeon I had colitis way back in December and I fought mucus and blood for months. I seem to get it to stop about a month ago, but...

I have this gurgling, crampy like feeling on the right side (beginning) of my colon across the transverse just along bottom of rib cage. Eating tends to set it off worse. I can't seem to get it to stop completely. I felt like I was going to toss my cookies this morning and I don't even know why. With all this though so far my stools have been pretty normal, no blood or mucus, well formed and about 1 to 2 times a day.

Is this more of a sign of Crohn's more than Colitis? or an infection possibly?

I just wonder if any of you with Crohn's experience similar symptoms.

Ask about an abdominal ultrasound. It is a painless test, and you can rule out your gallbladder from it. Unless yours has already been removed.

That sounds ALOT like my crohns flares only difference is mine is left sided pain. But I get the pain, cramping, and then the gurgling after a bout of pain. Kind of embarassing cause hubby likes to laugh at the noises. Sometimes off and on I get the blood and mucus and when the pain and rumbling gets too bad I tend to hit the vomit stage....hurts more after eating and moreso at night when the day of eating is done and trying to digest. Yes, the ultrasounds are useful for numerous reasons, I've been through those...also with those symptoms they might want to scope. I just had to have one last weekend for all these symptoms to exclude blockages and stuff and locate the inflammation.

Sounds like my symptoms, blood, mucous, gas and pain. Alot of urgency as well. I was diagnosed with Crohn's after a colonoscopy with biopsies.
Diagnosed with CD 3 years ago.  Refused to take meds until recently started Colazal.

Thanks for the replies.
Well I haven't had blood and mucus for close to a month, I hope it stays that way, but the noisy guts and the weird tender area below my belly button bugs me, I should have mentioned that as well. The idea of an ultrasound or something like that seems like a good idea and it isn't invasive. The insurance I have don't cover much so it limits me on what I can afford to do.
