Hi: I have been a member of this forum for a while and absolutely LOVE IT!

However, I am need of talking with people with severe crohn's in the colon OR Crohn's/UC patients that have had the J-POUCH surgery. If this is not the correct forum, I would REALLY appreciate someone sending me in the right direction. I have so many questions and need a lot of support before meeting with a surgeon as all of this is VERY scary and I am so sick, wanting a baby etc. Ya know all the yucky Crohn's stuff!

Thanks soooooooooooo VERY much in advance,

Brittany :)
I have had Crohn's since I was 21 years old and I am now 28!!
Unfortunately, nothing has worked for me. But I will keep on going and trying everything possible!

I think more people in the UC forum could tell you about the j-pouch.
People with Crohn's don't often get J-pouches.

Thanks, I appreciate it! I am surprised that I haven't received more help or feedback, even from the UC forums! Thanks sooo much for the help Bev! Take Care, Brittany

I can tell you why you haven't received much help on the UC forum, most of the UCers on that board still have UC!  I am one of the few j-pouchers that hangs out there and I do it mostly to field questions and rumors about the surgery and recovery.  As I mentioned to you on your post in the UC forum, the best place to meet jpouchers is at www.j-pouch.org  Over 6000 jpouch members on that site that can answer your questions.

FABULOUS, Thanks... makes sense! Sorta like me, still got the Crohn's. I am a rare case, so wasn't sure what direction to go in. I will try what you suggested.  Thanks so much :) Brittany
