Typical man. Off having fun, leaving the rest of us to our own devices at home. Snort!

Crohn's and UC are pretty darn crappy, but if you can't laugh at yourself, you'll cry......I'd much rather laugh.
2001 Dx'd with UC.  No remission.  No improvement with Remicade.  5/2008 surgery, removal of 6" of left side colon.  Dx changed to Crohn's.  Remission for 8-9wks after surgery, symptoms returned after resuming 6MP.  Changed maintenance med to Methotrexate (MTX) and had great results with IM injections.  Nausea and symptoms returning with oral MTX.  Switched back to IM injections and am slowly improving.

well the trip was fun and uneventfull healthwise.. got a bit of color the first 3 days, then went to rain, tornado watches and torrential downpours.. drove 3341 miles. and never had to "go" in an emergency. i got uncomfortable a couple times but could always wait till we fueled up or ate. never used a rest area! how amazing is that? we saw much wildlife along the roads. mostly pronghorns. prarie dogs, etc... visited relatives, and friends. spent lots of money and ate tons of food... but did not gain any weight! we went from sealevel to 6000 feet, and had a slight problem with exertion the first day at altittude.but it got better. glad to be missed ! randy
