Just thought I had better stop in and say hi to everyone! I haven't been here for a few months.
For those that don't know me, I have had Crohn's disease for almost 10 years now. Mine is very
very mild compared to a lot of people with it.  I can pretty much be drug free when things are
quite in there.  Last spring I went into a flare and did Methotrexate injections. We stopped those
last November and I have been good ever since!  (knock on wood)
I am surprised at how well it has stayed at bay with the amount of stress I am under. Three
months ago we were told at work that we were being bought and with the transition they
weren't going to take everyone.  Well Monday they are finally going to meet with each one
of us and tell us if we have a job with new company or if we are getting that pretty pink slip.
I have been a basket case. But suprisingly enough I have not put my Crohn's into over drive.
Anyway, just wanted to stop in and say hi and give a little update on me.  Say a little work
prayer for me that I can keep my job!!  I'm sure if I get a pink slip that I will back in doc's
office.  lol
Miss you guys and promise to come around more!!

Hey LBJ,

Will definetly say prayers that you keep your job. Geez, how stressful. I know easier said than done, but try to stay calm as you can. Also, just my personal opinion of course, but I really believe everyone should be on some type of maintainence med at all times. I did this at one time in my Crohns life, and paid dearly for it. While I was busy getting on with life, the Crohns was still in there doing its damage on a microscopic level and my remission ended with an emergency resection. I only take Asacol to maintain my Crohns now. Good luck and don't be such a stranger.
