For the most part pregnancy shouldn't really give you pain BUT at 6 weeks there is some stretching of the uterus happening and at that point yes there can be pain. Usually it is described in a style most like your menstral cramps would be. Thats about the point I started feeling it and spent some time in bed curled up cause I certainly didn't like having that crampy feeling again. Have you had Crohns pain before? if you have usually by this point since you were diagnosed some time ago you should have a bit of an idea as to if its a 'normal' pain for you. Meaning does it feel like pains you have had in the past with crohns or is it something new entirely?? best to do in any case is ask your doctor or obgyn, no point in risking the baby obviously so professional opinion is always best.

Lady G is right- you will most likely have the tight, crampy pains. But that pain is really low in the abdomen and generally from hip to hip. Are you experiencing sharp pains in one area only? Or just in the lower right quadrant? I think that may be something to be concerned about, but otherwise you're probably fine. I experienced really bad, sharp pains in the lower right side (ileum), and it turned out to be serious, but not until after I had the baby. Thank God! Just monitor how you're feeling, and if you have concerns, then make sure you relay them to your doctors. Good luck!

If you have any extreme pain during pregnancy you should go to the ER, or at least call a triage nurse. I haven't been diagnosed with Crohn's, but I have a lot of poopy pains (as I call them) and some pregnancy pains. Pregnancy pains tend to get better with rest and are generally not very painful. My poopy pains tend to be on my lower right side below my expanding belly and are moderate to severe cramping. It is very hard to tell, but if you are concerned, go to the ER. They will do an ultra sound to rule out an etopic pregnancy. If nothing else, you'll get to see the heartbeat and put your mind at ease! Good luck to you, I hope everything works out!
