Hi, well after settling down the Crohn's a bit, I'm just starting to learn about my fibromyalgia.... I know there's several members here who also have fibro so I thought it would be a good place to come for answers since I already know you guys and trust you...

My fibro is awful, the pain is unrelenting and I've been to four rheumy's now and can't seem to find much to help. Pain killers take the edge off, but nothing really helps very much. I'm always hurting everywhere, joint pain, muscle aches, this in addition to my arthritis from the crohn's. The depression I am in right now is sort of overwhelming me. I guess I'm surprised at how bad fibro can get, I never knew it could hurt this much. Does anyone out there have any suggestions? Lyrica made me far too sleepy and Cymbalta made me far too nauseas, I honestly don't know what to do anymore. If it's not one pain, it's another, It's like there's no days free of pain anymore. If anyone has an good info, I sure would appreciate it, thanks so much for listening to me vent.

Hi, I'm a brand new member.  I've never had fibromyalgia but I had a few miserable years with polymyalgia which I realise is not the same thing at all however I did have a high sed rate and also I was put on prednisone for it and got osteoporosis as a result.  While I was going through that period (some years ago) I discovered MSM which is an organic sulPHUR not sulFA
I buy it in crystal form on the internet and put it into every beverage I drink all day,  it sits in a sugar bowl on my stove.  I have absolutely no arthritis anywhere despite having a damaged knee from a car accident almost 50 years ago (I'm 81). That knee is bone on bone and I was offered a knee replacement which I declined. I believe the MSM is the reason because it is anti inflamatory and you might try it.  In the crystalline form it is not expensive,   I believe that keeping that in my system all day is why I have no arthritis.  You might try it and see if it helps.
