None of it is my favorite. I HATE colonoscopies. I think jello fills me up better thatn the broth and juices. (maybe it's just psychological) Good luck with your colonoscopy and let us know how it goes.

You get a choice?!?!?!? Man I had to drink about TWO GALLONS of something called NuLytely (which the nurses ironically referred to as "Go Lightly") within about 3 hours. It tastes somewhat like Gatorade and isn't all that bad but drinking that much liquid in that time span was a tall order, especially since I didn't feel like consuming anything. But the really memorable part of it was the shear number of trips to the bathroom and being impressed by how remarkably similar going #2 had become to going #1! All in all it's not that bad of an experience, nor was the following colonoscopy. I found the prep for the endoscopy much more miserable--couldn't eat or drink anything for 12+ hours before.

What kind of prep are you doing? I only ever had clear fluids the day before not two days before?

Good luck and hope everything goes well.

the prep is two days then I have the scope on the third day.

First day I drink clear liquids and take four Toilax tablets, two at 18:00 and two at 22:00
Then the day after I keep on with the liquid stuff and go to the hospital at 17:30 there I drink two glasses of phosphoral

On the third day I have the scope and cant eat anything two hours before the scope otherwise drink clear liquids.

I have done the go lightly prep also I just cant drink so much at a time, it is torture :P

But when you drink Phosphoral I vomit like crazy :S But the last time they gave me a double dose of anti nausea drug through IV and that worked okey.

How do you prep ?

I did mostly like Aronk. Chicken broth, gatorade (any except red or orange), popsicles (avoid same colors). Sprite helps too. Good luck!

Have used Colyte four times now. First couple times followed the directions, 8 ounces every ten minutes I think. Last two times realize don't have to drink it quite that fast. Get through it and don't know if your prep sounds any better or not?

The first time I had a sigmoidoscopy and gastroscopy, I had to drink 8 ounces of the worst tasting stuff I had ever drank. The when I found out I had to drink 4 litres with the colonoscopy, I thought if I had to drink that much of the other stuff, it would be impossible. So found the Colytle not that bad, like you say just the volume.

I like white grape juice and white cranberry juice and the jello and chicken broth make you feel like you've at least had something.

Good luck!
