Hello all,
does anybody out there know if long term use of Imodium can have any mental effects?  Have had Crohn's for 20yrs 1.5m part large and small intestine removed and ileum removed.
I can't seem to find any info on any side effects on the brain, I understand that it shows there is no blood brain connection, however I just wanted to know if anyone had ever heard of anything????
thanks :-)

I am guessing Imodium has been around long enough for some real stats. I think most of the warnings on it are for short term issues like dehydrating, etc. Of course all the stuff they have been coming out with, who knows the long term of alot of it. Most people don't even ask or care . It is all kind of a crap shoot right now but its better than well crap shooting.
SCD since 01, remission since 01, occasional random junk food breaks :)
No meds ever.
