Um...Okay. So my regular doctor gave me some samples of Lyrica. It worked...really well. I'm still on pain medicine because occasionally I still hurt pretty awful but I'm so hesitant to have the "ah-ha!" moment. Plus...eech. Lyrica's what they give people with fibromyalgia. Nothing against it...but I honestly don't want to have it. But there ya go. Pentasa, pain meds, and Lyrica are working. Still...its sort of positive if it works very well, in that, it doesn't hurt so much anymore. So yay for that one.
27/f/CD. 4 CD related surgeries: 2 resections, 2 JP drains, 3 NG tubes, many absesses (including the one my most recent surgery scraped off my ovary) and fistulas.
Currently trying to figure out hip and knee joint pain.
Have lost in these surgeries: appendix, 8 in. intestine, R fallopian tube, gallbladder, 10 in. intestine
Crohns Dx'd: February 2008.
Pentasa (and much mental screaming)

Trying to hang in there until January so I'll have some insurance and can visit a rheumy, neuro, GI, primary, pain control, and possibly a shrink so I could stop crying and living in my own lil pity party. :-P

Lyrica is for neuropathic pain, shingles, and epilepsy, not just fibromyalgia. Enjoy the pain relief.

I know about the neuropathic pain, shingles, and epilepsy. I'm not epileptic...Mom is, but hers came from brain surgery. Never had shingles. Can't tell you whats what about the neuropathic pain though. Creepy thoughts and worries on this stuff.
