I plan to ask my GI the next time I see him, but I was wondering what you all thought about taking 81 mg aspirin once/day. My husband's internist told him to take it as a prophylactic for cardiac/vessel disease. My dad died of cardiac problems and my mom died of a stroke, so I would like to take a baby aspirin but need to find out from my GI if it's contraindicated with CD. Any thoughts?
50 y/o F. CD dx'd Aug 05. Initially on Pentasa, then Imuran 125 mg. Started Humira (very reluctantly) on 10/24/07. Ileocolectomy 4/08. Back on Pentasa as maintenance.

Hi any type of aspirin for us dealing with CD is a no-no it can cause bleeding. We are suppose to take tylenol only.

Yes, I tried the baby aspirin about 5 years ago, it just caused my GERD to act up really bad, so I had to stop it.
