Wierd stuff.  I would swear I was pregnant and that the baby was kicking.  I started Cimzia in late May.  I'm not impressed as of yet.  I keep hoping that things will change after each shot but nothing yet.  The most relief I get is approximately 3-4 four days.  Now the shots are spaced monthly!!! I have to wait it out.  I do have much more abdominal pain, what feels like constipation and then without warning other than the colon twiching, massive diarrhea.  My joints ache all the time and I am basically housebound.  Has anyone had the colon spasm like this.  I know that I could feel little spasms before but this looks and feels like there's an alien living in my abdomen.  Could this be the beginnings of a stricture?  I am very distended on that side and have enough gas to light a third world country.  Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Donna

Can anyone tell me if this is something I should worry about?

I unfortunately don't know whats going on, but if the medication is not working and you are feeling bad, I would suggest calling your GI right away. There is no need to suffer.

I think in your position I would call the GI and ask. He might want to do a CT scan. Spasms and such are pretty common in CD, but the alternating C and D could point to a building stricture. Better safe than sorry. A chat with the GI or nurse would probably ease your mind and might result in some definitive tests. Also, if the cimizia is just not cutting it the GI needs to know that.
