Is it normal to see dark urine after iron infusions. Why do my issues always come up on Friday evenings after its too late to call my doc?
Crohns 30 years. Ileostomy for 15 years. Symptom free for 14 years until 10 months ago. Was on Remicade but just recently switched to Humira because remicade stopped working, B-12 injections and iron.

I know that iron makes my stool really dark, but I don't notice a difference in my urine. I've also never had an infusion. Can you call a nurse hotline at your insurance? or the ER maybe, just to get a quick answer?

Managing with strict low residue diet, keeping symptoms to a minimum. All test show small amount of ulceration, still have occasional blockages. But still have a great time with my 2 daughters and husband!

I'm sure that the liver is having a hard time filtering the iron. I would drink lots of water and try to flush it through your kidneys and liver.
