Hi all,

Just thinking I'd get input from anyone who had thoughts...  I've been going along alright.  Actually did two days in a row at Disneyland with my girl, visiting my mom/step-dad.  Felt ok.  Took pain meds preventatively and my parents respected that we not leave the house until almost 11am.

Got home, did two hikes - Thurs and Sat - 3-4 miles.  After the hike yesterday I was super hungry.  I'd just picked up my daughter from her dad's.  We stopped at Taco Bell and I shared the tiny nachos with my girl and ate the meat out of a  steak soft taco.  about an hour later my gut was *very* sore.  Tender to the touch, all over, but mostly near the ileum.  I took two vicodin and it did absolutely *nothing!*  Then I caved in to an advil (a couple hours later).

I am never, ever a napper, but I slept through my daughter watching a movie (loudly!) for 1.5 hours.  I woke with a fever of 102.  Today my temp is below 100 (99.7) but the pain is still there.  I have not really eaten since, but did have a few bites of melted brie.  No solids...

It almost feels like I pulled a muscle but it's so local to the ileum and that doesn't explain the fever.  It stayed at 102 all last night for about 6 hours, despite the tylenol from the vicodin and the advil.

If it still hurts tomorrow, I will call my doc.  But, I thought I'd see if anyone had any advice.

Thanks and hope you all had a great holiday!

Sounds like something that you ate - obviously. Maybe the spices in the steak taco?

Is your belly distended at all? Are you having any gurgling sounds? The sudden onset is what is concerning. If it continues, please call your doctors office, even if it is off hours, or go to the ER. Fever and sudden pain can be a really bad thing. And by all means, stay with someone until this passes, you don't want to be alone with just your little girl and have to have her call for help. Not trying to scare you, but I would hate to have something bad happen. Sending you best wishes and hugs.

Managing with strict low residue diet, keeping symptoms to a minimum. All test show small amount of ulceration, still have occasional blockages. But still have a great time with my 2 daughters and husband!

Yes, I am a bit distended. You aren't scaring me just reminding me with what I need to hear. It's better a little and I tried a touch of solids. The pain was very different than I usually feel and the fever worried me. I am mostly using it as a guage for ER necessity. Well, and the pain intensity.

I've never shown any disease activity in the small, but I've felt the ileum area before- just nothing like this. Things are "moving along" so I don't p really know what would cause this. No weird gurgle noises.

Oh- I did take a single dose of oral steroid today. Maybe that is helping. It's like a pre-med dose before Remicade- just a dose not a full taper.

Thanks guys!!!
