We had such a great 4th; walked in a parade with our 3 year old daughter, went to see the most fantastic local fireworks display last night, an overall wonderful day. Why, then, was I awakened at 3:45 this morning by a diarrhea episode???I literally had seconds to get from the bed to the toilet. Tons of water. Huge amounts.  Ended up on the couch downstairs waiting for episode #2 (which never came); laid there wide awake sweating for what seemed like an eternity until I was finally able to overcome the anxiety and fall back to sleep. I am FED UP with this disease. I didn't even eat anything out of the norm yesterday and I don't partake in alcoholic beverages.

I think I'm in denial. I feel well much of the time! And in my warped little mind I keep thinking the colonoscopy coming up in October is going to prove I do not have Crohn's Disease. I must be living in a dream world (where I am much happier).

We'll be heading to a picnic a few hours from now. They always serve the most amazing food. I guess I just won't eat so I can actually get some sleep tonight.

UGGGHHHH!!!!
Diagnosed with Ileitus October, 2008. Probably Crohn's. Will know for sure in October, 2009 when I have my second Colonoscopy. Weaned off Entocort. Celiac Panel negative. Food Allergy testing negative. Trying to maintain good health and less bathroom visits with diet and probiotic.

I had a similar episode last week - lots of diarrhea all day but nothing the next day. Hoping it was something I ate instead of the Crohn's acting up. Been symptom free since then so think it might have been.
